Client Overview
A multinational information technology company operating 200+ owned, leased, or managed-colo tier 3 & 4 data centers, serving multiple verticals (International Banking, Commerce, Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Government-related entities). The client described itself as one of only three corporations globally with the expertise to perform at the pinnacle of data center design and management. For cost efficiency, the client sought to utilize vendors to scale technical architectural teams for the massive greenfield and brownfield data center builds in support of end-client mergers, acquisitions, etc. The program required movement of data and/or physical equipment across state, provincial, and international lines (APAC, EMEA, AMERS).
Issue
Client unable to locate suitable resources, either in-house and/or through vendors. The viable labor pool was significantly reduced due to client budget, need for scalability, and complexity of regulatory compliance globally for finance, data handling, security, and labor.
Delivery and Service Support
GTN was notified of the situation in late Spring 2013 and within a month, began filling roles previously deemed unfillable. GTN had an existing relationship with the client, providing resources for other departments.
